How to Setup MTProto Proxy in Telegram on Linux

Install Telegram
Install Telegram Desktop via package manager or from telegram.org.

Open Settings
Click the menu (☰) → Settings → Advanced.

Connection Type
Find "Connection Type" and click "Change".

Add MTProto Proxy
Select "Add Proxy" → "MTProto".

Enter Details
Enter Host, Port, and Secret from our catalog.

Connect
Click "Save". Telegram will reconnect through the proxy.
